550mm x 30 x 2.5 Galvanised Strap

Light duty restraint straps can be used for vertical restraint applications, such as holding down wall plates to masonry.

30mm x 2.5mm multi-holed straps supplied in 100mm increments. 6mm holes at 25mm offset centres. Available straight, bent or twisted or in combinations as required in both galvanised (LDMH) and stainless steel (SLDMH).

Standard product includes one bend or twist. Additional bends/ twists / fishtails charged extra. Increments of less than 100mm will be charged at the full rate e.g. 1050mm charged at 1100mm rate.
Designed in accordance with The Building Regulations, BS5268 Part 3 and other building standards for vertical and horizontal restraint and tested to BS EN845-1.
Fixing – Restraint straps should be fixed using either 50mm long no. 12 woodscrews (using wall plugs in masonry for vertical restraint) or 75mm x 4.0mm diameter galvanised nails into timber. Stainless steel screws or nails must be used when fixing stainless steel straps.
Dimensions – Thickness 2.3mm, Width 27mm, Length 100mm increments from 100mm to 6000mm.
Load Bearing Capacity – 4 kN.

Ordering:
When ordering straps please quote the overall girth from end to end of the strap including any bends or twists or both ie: 1200mm x 30mm x 2.5mm bent at 100mm = a strap 1100mm long leg plus a 100mm bend. When ordering straps that are both bent and twisted ensure that you specify the distance of the twist from the bend.

Fixing:
Fix using either no. 12 x 50mm BZP wood screws or 75mm x 4.0mm galvanised nails - for stainless straps stainless fixing must be used.
