TTSM1 MOVEMENT TIES

DEBONDING SLEEVES MUST BE PURCHASED SEPERATELY! (TTDS)

These products are designed to provide restraint in one direction and movement to allow for horizontal expansion and contraction.

The Debonding Sleeve is located over the embedment detail to allow the tie to move. Typical usages are in areas where masonry is restrained to Steelwork columns and in long spans of brickwork where movement joints are required.

NOTE: Only for use with TTDS1R100

Insert the tie into the debonding sleeve with a small gap left at the end of the sleeve of 5 to 10mm. This allows for expansion and contraction.
Install with the flat side facing downward and the profile facing upward showing the 62.5 embedment line.
The tie is positioned within the debonding sleeve, which covers the relevant portion of the tie to allow free movement as the masonry expands or contracts. Do not push the movement tie fully to the end of the debonding sleeve.
Instead, maintain a 10 mm gap at the end of the sleeve to ensure the tie can move as intended. Insert the tie and slide it into position until it is visible through the indicator hole provided. Do not insert the tie beyond this
point, as doing so will prevent it from functioning correctly.
